Integrating your email marketing service (ESP)

Before going live with ConvertFlow on your website, we recommend integrating your email marketing service (ESP).

In your website dashboard, go to  Settings > Integrations to find your ESP/CRM and follow the instructions to connect with your ESP.

Once you've integrated your ESP, ConvertFlow will pull in info like your tags, lists, custom fields, etc. to enable easy interface dropdowns when adding automations and targeting conditions to your CTAs.

ConvertFlow will also begin using a 2-way sync to send new contacts into your ESP, as well as maintain a record of each tracked contacts tags, lists, custom fields etc.

Contacts will be synced with your ESP when they are identified at the point of email collection, whether that's from a ConvertFlow form, or any HTML email field on your website.

Once a visitor is identified as a contact, progressive profiling is used to prefill your ConvertFlow form fields. In your form settings, you can toggle the option to hide fields already filled out by your visitor.

Targeting conditions specific to your ESP can also now be met, allowing you to target CTAs and content to your existing contact segments.

Mapping remaining ConvertFlow contact fields to your ESP

Once you've connected an ESP, you'll have the option to add custom field values for the additional contact fields ConvertFlow can't automatically map to your ESP's API.

To send through this additional contact info, such as their attribution info, head to your integration in the list:

Then, click fields and you'll be able to see the remaining contact fields ConvertFlow isn't able to map to that integration's API, and paste custom field values that you choose.

How to refresh your integration data

What if you add a new tag or list in your ESP, and ConvertFlow doesn't yet show it yet in your automations?

Just click the "Refresh" link next to your integration's logo, and ConvertFlow will get the latest data from your integration.
