Why are Google Analytics visitor counts different from ConvertFlows?

Google Analytics and ConvertFlow tracking data can differ and different terminology can cause confusion. However, when relating to ConvertFlow tracking numbers you can look at our counter on the top right corner of your account's dashboard:

The visitor numbers you see in the counter are unique visitors, which include returning visitors. These are what Google Analytics considers to be sessions.

If you go to "Insights" and select the "Lead Generation" reports, you can select the timeframe you're looking at on Google Analytics and see the "New Visitors" numbers match up with Google Analytics’ "Unique Visitors":

Moreover, the Google Analytics tracking code is blocked by some browsers and ad blockers so some of your visitors are not being tracked by the GA code. Because CovertFlow is a smaller company compared to Google, our tracking script is not targeted by these softwares.
