🎥 How to create and launch embedded campaigns

One of the campaign types you can create in ConvertFlow is "embedded campaigns".

Creating an embedded campaign

When creating a new campaign, scroll past the suggested template categories, then click over embedded campaigns to go through these templates.

You'll be taken to the template gallery, filtered to only see embedded campaigns.

Browse and preview the templates to find the one you like, or use the filter tools on the left to refine your search.

Once you've found that looks like a good starting point for your campaign, click the "Use Template" button on the template and name your new campaign.

Customizing an embedded campaign

Once you've created your campaign, you'll be taken to the drag-and-drop builder

Here you can quickly customize the campaign template. Edit the headlines, paragraph text, button text, and the button's redirect settings.

Your embedded campaign can be content for your website as simple as a single button, form, or headline, or as robust as a multi-step page section with a background video.

Adjusting the campaign width

Each embedded campaign template will come with a default maximum width.

This can be adjusted by clicking on the "theme" tab in the builder panel.

Here you'll be able to control the maximum width of your embedded campaign, as well as the direction it aligns when you place it on your site.

Previewing your changes

Once you're done customizing the template, click to preview the campaign.

Then, you'll be able to preview and test out your campaign in a safe test environment. Testing your campaign doesn't count towards campaign stats, and it doesn't trigger automations.

Next, click "Launch" to control how you will display your embedded campaign on your site.

Here you can determine how and where you want your embedded campaign to display on your website.

Simple embed code

There are lots of cases where you'll want your embedded to always show on a page, regardless of who is viewing it.

In that case, you can display your embedded campaign on your page by clicking to copy the simple embed code. Place this on your website and your embedded campaign will begin to display!

Target your campaign

Instead of fiddling with embed codes for lots of campaigns, it's a much smoother workflow to use ConvertFlow's area snippets.

These are the controls you'll want to use if you're displaying your embedded campaign on your website in an area of your site where you may want other embedded campaigns to show, such as the sidebar area, or the bottom of your blog posts.

Area snippets make it a breeze to display embedded campaigns at the right place and time, without having to revisit your website code, just like how you can with popups.

Plus, by using area snippets, you can target your embedded campaigns with any targeting condition you'd like.

Confirming your targeted campaign is displaying

With the ConvertFlow script placed on your website, and your campaign launched, head to a page of your website where it should show.

Assuming you've selected an area and placed its snippet on the page, your embedded campaign will show if the targeting conditions are met.

If your campaign isn't showing, click the blue ConvertFlow icon at the bottom left of your website to toggle the admin widget.

This helps you see what campaigns are targeting and why, or why not, by seeing which conditions were met.

Head here if you can't see the admin widget.
